Hello everyone, my name is Rocky Sah and I am an ethical hacker, web developer, and the founder of codelivly. Today, I want to share with you how challenging myself to read every day has changed my life.

Reading has always been a passion of mine, but I never really made it a daily habit. That was until a few years ago when I decided to challenge myself to read for at least 30 minutes every day. The results have been life-changing and have helped me in my personal and professional life in ways I never imagined.

I was always someone who loved to read, but I never made it a priority in my daily routine. That changed when I came across a quote that said, “The man who doesn’t read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them.” This quote hit me hard, and I realized that I was missing out on a wealth of knowledge and life lessons by not making reading a daily habit.

As an ethical hacker and web developer, I spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer screen, coding, researching, and troubleshooting. My job is demanding and requires a lot of mental energy, but it can also be isolating and monotonous. That’s why I decided to pick up a book every day after work. It was a way to escape the world of technology and engage my mind in new and different ways.

At first, I struggled to find the time to read. But I soon realized that making it a priority was key. I scheduled my reading time into my daily routine, setting aside 30 minutes before bed to immerse myself in a good book. The more I read, the more I found myself looking forward to it, and the easier it became to make time for it.

The impact of reading on my life has been profound. It has broadened my perspective and given me a better understanding of the world. I have learned about new cultures, ways of thinking, and have been introduced to new ideas and philosophies. I have also found that reading has helped me to improve my writing skills and has given me a deeper appreciation for the power of words.

Reading has also helped me in my professional life. As an cyber geek, I am constantly learning about new security threats and ways to protect against them. By reading about these topics, I have been able to expand my knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in my field.

I challenged myself to read every day, no matter how busy I was. I started with just 10 minutes a day and gradually increased it to 30 minutes a day. This challenge completely changed my life, and here’s how:

  1. Improved my vocabulary: As I started reading, I encountered words that I had never heard of before. I made an effort to understand their meaning, and over time, my vocabulary has greatly improved.
  2. Enhanced my creativity: Reading books by different authors and genres helped me expand my creative mind. It opened up new ideas and possibilities, and it has helped me become more imaginative and innovative in my work.
  3. Increased my knowledge: By reading every day, I have learned so much about the world and myself. I have discovered new perspectives and ideas, and I have been able to broaden my knowledge and understanding of various subjects.
  4. Boosted my confidence: Reading has also helped me become more confident in myself and my abilities. It has taught me that I am capable of learning and expanding my knowledge, and this has given me a boost in self-confidence.
  5. Reduced my stress: Lastly, reading has also helped me reduce my stress levels. It has become a form of self-care for me, and it has allowed me to escape into a different world and forget about my worries for a while.

In conclusion, challenging myself to read every day has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It has enriched my life in so many ways and has given me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I highly recommend making reading a daily habit, regardless of your profession or interests. You never know what new insights, knowledge, and perspectives you may gain.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I hope it has inspired you to pick up a book and start reading today.
